Crayons, Cars, and 15 months old

Oliver colored today. He is so happy when he gets to sit at the "big" table. Lately, he has been trying to sit in the chairs on his own. He is able to get one leg onto the chair, but then either him or the chair usually fall over.

Oliver was driving cars this morning. He was even making a car sound to go along with it. He loves cars, trucks, boats, and airplanes. Really, he loves pretty much anything.

I forgot to make note yesterday that Oliver was officially 15 months old. Here is a list of some of the exciting things going on in his life.

-He is trying to talk. Some of the words he uses are: mama, dada, duck, bye-bye, milk, juice, and night-night. He makes a lot of the beginning sounds of words when he tries to say them.

-He uses some sign language to communicate with us. He regularly uses the signs for: please, thank you, more, and all done. (He does not quite understand that saying please doesn't automatically mean you get whatever you want and gets a little upset when he is saying please and we tell him no.)

-He is doing a lot of climbing. He isn't able to get up on our couches yet, but he is trying.

-He is using a spoon and fork and is able to get some food into his mouth. :)

-He can stack blocks and make towers.

-He gives hugs and kisses.

-He helps set the table and picks up toys (some of the time)

-He loves watching out the window for Eric to come home. He gets so excited when he sees Eric that he can't even watch out the window anymore, he goes to the door and tries to open it.

-He can reach door knobs and tries to make them do something. One time he was able to unlock the door.

-He is slowly transitioning from 2 naps to 1 nap.

-He loves bathtime.

Well I think that is enough of a list for tonight. We don't have any big plans for the week other than Oliver's 15 month appointment on Thursday.

I can't believe Oliver is 15 months old already! Sounds like he is learning a whole lot of new things just since I saw him - looking forward to seeing all of you Easter weekend.
