4 Months Old!!

Parker is 4 months old today!! We have his appointment on Thursday morning. Here is what this little boy of ours is up to lately.
-rolling over like crazy- he rarely spends any time on his back
-can do a full roll and move across a room
-likes his soft blankets
-is a very good traveler
-does a lot of talking
-laughs when he gets tickled
-enjoys playing peek-a-boo
-smiles pretty much anytime you look at him
-likes to look at books
-likes to hold onto and look at toys
-plays in the exersaucer now
-sits in his bumbo seat- I think he will be excited to sit on his own
-likes to chew on things- his hand is always a good option, but has been known to chew on giraffes, tractors, and blankets
-sleeps all swaddled up, still waking 2-3 times at night
-likes to swing outside

All in all, Parker continues to be a very happy little boy. We are pretty lucky with how relaxed he is. Oliver is starting to show more affection for Parker as Parker gets older. We are having lots of fun watching this little boy grow up- and he is doing it very quickly!

Happy four months Parker!!

MOPS program

Last Thursday was the last day of our MOPS group for the year. The kids did a program at the end of our time that day. Here is a link to a video of a few of the songs that Oliver did.

Enjoy!

Easter Weekend!

We had a busy Easter weekend. Saturday morning, we got up and went to an Easter egg hunt in Champaign. The Easter Bunny was there, Oliver was a little unsure of the giant bunny, but he went over and told him hi and gave him five. There were A LOT of kids at the Easter egg hunt. They had it split into age groups so that made it much better for us.

Parker hanging out in his car seat waiting for Oliver to go hunt Easter eggs.

We went for a walk while we were waiting to hunt eggs and Oliver took a seat in the grass.

This is just some of the kids waiting to hunt Easter eggs. You can't see the other sidewalk, but just a little ways over to the right of the picture was another sidewalk. The people between that sidewalk and the sidewalk pictured are just the kids in the 0-2 range.

Saturday afternoon, Amy & Cody got to our house. We spent some time playing outside and even went for a walk to a nearby park. After supper, we dyed Easter eggs. Oliver did really well and was pretty patient- it helped to have a 4-1 adult-to-child ratio. :) Cody hadn't ever dyed Easter eggs before so Oliver helped to show him how to do it.

After church, we stopped at a park on the way home and took the boys' pictures in front of some tulips.

When we got home from church, the Easter Bunny had came and made two little boys pretty happy.

Oliver hunted for Easter eggs around our living room.

Parker got a new toy to play with.

Parker was pretty interested in the book the Easter Bunny brought him.

Oliver was very excited about his peeps. He only managed to eat one of them this morning, but I'm not sure how many marshmallows he ate :)

Parker got a bib that said My first Easter and was very cooperative getting his picture taken.

I tried to get a picture of Oliver and he spread out on the couch.

The boys in their Easter outfits- notice their socks! :)

Thursday

Today Oliver was playing with Parker. He is starting to show a lot more interest in Parker since Parker has started responding to Oliver. Today was another nice day and we spent some time playing in our backyard.

Tonight Parker and Oliver took their first bath together. They both did really well. Oliver was very excited when Parker got out so he could use the yellow sponge as a boat. We are all excited for tomorrow night when Eric comes home. He gets in tomorrow night at 9:45. I was telling Oliver about going to pick Eric up and he said "Make Oliver so happy!"
