Vacation Fun Day 6

June 29th-
We spent the morning hanging out around the resort. We spent sometime at the playground- Parker took a nap in the swing there. The playground was nice because it was in the shade and fenced in. That afternoon, we went to the campground that Dan & Wanda were staying at. They had rented a pontoon for the day so we did a pontoon ride. We also spent time at the restaurant there- it was on an awesome beach. The kids all had a ton of fun. Oliver loved playing in the sand and water. Parker napped fora good share of the time, but did eventually play in the water. Timmy loved the water.

Eric took Oliver fishing and Oliver got another fish. It was a bluegill. He came back and told me he caught a fish. I asked what kind and he said "it's called a bluegill, it is kindof green."

The picture of a bunch of people above is them feeding the ducks. There were fairly small ducklings and a mama duck that liked the bread they gave them.

Vacation Fun Day 5

June 28-
The pictures aren't in perfect order, but oh well. Eric and I went parasailing! It was a lot of fun! Our boat also had Amy & Heidi and Audrey & Madison. Bailey & Laura and Leeann & Kim went after us.

Max and Grandma played War.

We arranged our diapers and labeled them with each kid's name on a band-aid. (Note to self- pack sharpies and tape next year)

We went swimming again. The weather was great for swimming- it was SO warm. Many times we waited until the afternoon when the pool was in the shade to swim. The pool was great- it had a separate part that was only 1 foot deep, then the other side started at 2 foot. It was perfect for the kids (and people like me who sink rather than float)

Eric got his fishing license and went fishing with Oliver and Max. Oliver caught his first fish- but the picture is on Eric's phone. We have other pictures later in the week!

Vacation Fun Day 4

June 27th-
We realized it is pretty warm in Missouri. The kids spent sometime playing in a pebble beach at our resort, while others hung out and watched the water.

3 mommies with carrying 3 babies :) - Maybe we'll do it again at Amy's wedding when Joe & Renee's baby will be out :)

Parker went swimming in a big pool for the first time. He seemed to enjoy it.

Parker wrapped up in his Sheriff Woody towel when he was done swimming.

Vacation Fun Day 3

June 26th-
We checked out of the hotel and made the drive to the Lake of the Ozarks. We checked into our cabin and unpacked. Our cabin had plenty of space for our family and Randy & Kara's family. We had 3 bedrooms- 1 for us & Parker, 1 for Randy & Kara & Timmy, and 1 for Sophia, Oliver, & Henry. There was also a loft with a bed for Alex & Max. We also had 3 bathrooms- a boys', a girls', and a kids'.

Obviously I didn't take many pictures this day. Here is Parker's 6 month picture (I'll have to do an update post on the boys and their adventures one of these days)

Vacation Fun Day 2

June 25-
We left our house around 6:30 and drove to Rolla, MO for my niece Kayla's wedding. Alex wasn't feeling well so Kara stayed behind at the hotel and watched Oliver during the wedding and reception. The wedding was beautiful and we had a great time. Congratulations to Kayla & Mason! We did a lot of visiting with family and Eric and I saw some old college friends. We stayed up late visiting and hanging out in our hotel room.

Eric and I also celebrated our 6 year wedding anniversary!

Vacation Fun!! Day 1

We went on vacation from June 25th to July 3rd, but we extended it a bit by having Randy, Kara, & crew at our house on the 24th and 4th. I think I might have pictures from every day so here are my vacation posts!

Randy & Kara got to our house late Thursday night (the 23rd). We spent the 24th just hanging out and having fun around the house. The kids spent time playing outside, we grilled out, and mostly just visited and talked about what we wanted to do on vacation.

Parker's First Food

Parker had his 6 month appointment today. He is doing very well- 25 3/4 inches (20th percentile), 16 lb, 5 oz (20th percentile), and 44.4 cm for head circumference (60th percentile). He did very well for his 3 shots- he didn't cry for the first one, but did for the next two. He quickly calmed down from the shots.

After we ate supper tonight, we gave Parker his first taste of "real" food. He had rice cereal and he thought it was delicious. He ate all of it and seemed to know exactly what to do with the spoon and opening his mouth for bites. He was very happy after he finished eating and was all smiles. I have a feeling he'll be happy to progress to foods with a bit more flavor.

Here are a few pictures of the big event (along with one of Oliver- he doesn't like to not get his picture taken when the camera is out). Also, here is a link to a video of Parker's first food experience: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Us0qjamHTVM
