We spent the morning frantically packing all of our things and getting our cabin cleaned and our cars loaded.
We headed to a Museum of Transportation- which was mostly trains. From the time we got off the interstate to the time we got into the parking lot (about 3 minutes) the temperature dropped about 15 degrees. So we quickly looked at a few things there and then got soaked. We had fun though- the kids all pulled the whistle for the train.
After the museum, we found a pizza hut where we were going to have supper- we drove straight to one only to find that it was a carry-out or delivery only and had no tables. So we found an Applebee's instead. For probably the first time all week, many of us were cold and wishing we had sweatshirts to wear- after being soaked in rain and then in air-conditioning, I guess that happens. After supper, we continued to drive and got to our house around 9:45. We got all of the kids to bed and then Randy & Kara and Eric and myself stayed up chatting. It was very nice knowing we didn't have any driving or work the next day.
